Officers Apprehend 32-Year-Old Alex Espinosa in DUI Crash on Bridge Street
Visalia, CA (March 08, 2021) – On Saturday, children were injured and police arrested 32-year-old Alex Espinosa in a DUI crash on Bridge Street.
Officers responded to the crash report at about 7 p.m. at the intersection of Acequia Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found out Espinosa drove a Chevrolet Cruze north on Bridge Street heading to Acequia Avenue.
Afterward, he went through the intersection without stopping and slammed into a Chevrolet Sonic.
Afterward, his vehicle struck the corner of a temporarily closed movie theater.
Unfortunately, a woman with three children is inside the Sonic.
Immediately, rescuers took the children to Kaweah Delta Medical Center with minor injuries.
Moreover, officers say that Espinosa appears to be driving impaired.
Responders took him to the hospital for minor injuries. Then, they booked him into Tulare County Pretrial Facility on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and causing an injury traffic accident.
Furthermore, authorities say that Espinosa’s license is suspended.
Meanwhile, Espinos’s arraignment is on Tuesday. His bail is at $100,000.
