Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 101 Kills Leaves Thomas Vernon Smith Dead
Santa Barbara County, CA (January 31, 2021) – On Friday, Thomas Vernon Smith, 67, died in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 101 south of Twin Oaks Road.
The fatal crash took place at about 7:00 p.m. between Los Alamos and Los Olivos.
Apparently, the incident involved three vehicles.
One vehicle rolled over into the center median. Two occupants were able to get out of the car and sustained minor injuries.
Also, police said another person involved walked away and transported themselves to the hospital.
Another suffered cardiac arrest and was declared dead on the scene. Later reports revealed the victim as Thomas Vernon Smith, of Guadalupe.
Meanwhile, authorities continue to investigate the incident.
