Teruyo Washington and Lawrence Washington Dead in Two-Vehicle Accident at Las Posas and Laguna Roads
CAMARILLO, CA (July 12, 2019) – Two people died in Thursday’s two-vehicle accident at Las Posas and Laguna roads.
According to reports, the incident unfolded around 7:50 p.m. Investigators learned that a 2008 Dodge Challenger driver failed to adhere to a posted stop sign. The driver subsequently struck a 2009 Honda at the intersection, causing the Honda to land upside down in a ditch where officials found it partially submerged.
Authorities later identified the victims as 71-year-old Teruyo Washington and 76-year-old Lawrence Washington. Both victims are reportedly from Camarillo.
Meanwhile, paramedics brought the driver and passenger of the Dodge Challenger to a hospital with minor injuries.
Thus far, no arrests have been made but the California Highway Patrol is investigating this case further.
