16-Year-Old Hit, Injured by Car in Victorville
VICTORVILLE, CA (December 30, 2019) — A 16-year-old suffered major injuries in Friday’s pedestrian accident near Columbus Street and Rice Street.
According to police, the crash happened around 7:30 p.m. Upon arrival, officers determined that the teen suffered moderate to major injuries due to the severity of the accident.
Soon after, paramedics responded and transported the 16-year-old boy to a local hospital where medical staff listed him in critical condition.
In their investigation, police learned that the teen was hit while crossing outside of a marked crosswalk. Officials closed off the westbound lanes due to investigations and clean up.
Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash; however, a follow-up investigation continues.
