Girl Hospitalized after Lynnwood Pedestrian Collision on Larch Way
LYNNWOOD, WA (June 28, 2019) – A teen girl suffered serious injuries Wednesday following a pedestrian collision on Larch Way.
According to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, the female pedestrian was struck by an unidentified driver on Larch Way.
She allegedly suffered severe injuries and later sought treatment at Harborview Medical Center. However, there has been no update on her current condition.
Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with state officials. Arriving detectives also learned that the girl was struck outside of a marked crosswalk at the time.
Because information is limited, investigators are still working to determine the circumstances of the collision.
The surrounding area was closed off for a brief time while crews worked to clear the wreckage. However, the roadway has since reopened.
In order to avoid hitting another car or a pedestrian, keep your attention forward at all times. Be prepared to yield to unforeseen objects and people in the street. Pedestrians are also urged to exercise safety and only cross where it’s safe to do so.
