17-Year-Old Boy Killed After Jumping Off Parking Structure Mall in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 3, 2019) – A 17-year-old boy died after leaping off a parking structure building Tuesday on South Central Avenue near West Broadway.
According to Tahnee Lightfoot, a public information officer for Glendale police, the teen died at Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center in Boyle Heights.
Around 2:40 p.m., the 17-year-old leaped off the seventh floor of the parking structure at the Americana at Brand mall in Glendale. The boy landed on a man walking with his children at the time.
As a result of the fall, the teen suffered grave injuries and the man, whom he landed on, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The children were not hurt, say reports.
At this time, authorities are withholding the identity of the teen. The man in his 40s who suffered injuries is recovering.
