Samuel Rocha Arrested for Deadly Port Hueneme Bicycle Hit And Run Accident

 
PORT HUENEME, CA (April 21, 2021) – Monday, an 18-year-old teen cyclist died in a hit and run crash near North Ventura Road, and Samuel Rocha was arrested.
 
According to Port Hueneme Police, authorities responded to a crash at around 9:27 p.m. Moreover, it happened near the intersection of North Ventura Road and East Pleasant Valley Road.
 
Reports revealed that seven bicyclists traveled together. Then, a vehicle struck three of them, said Public Information Officer at the Hueneme Police Department Scott Matalon.
 
Furthermore, emergency responders transported the male victims, age between 14, 15, 18-years-old to local hospitals.
 
Moreover, authorities confirmed that one of the male victims died from his injuries. Another victim sustained major injuries and the other suffered significant injuries to the lower body.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle involved turned himself later. Initially, he fled from the scene and abandoned his vehicle in the 500 block of East Clara Street in the City of Port Hueneme.
 
The suspect, Samuel Rocha, is facing charges of murder and attempted murder.
