17-Year-Old Bicyclist Hospitalized in Bear Valley Road Accident
Bear Valley Springs, CA (May 14, 2021) – On Wednesday, a 17-year-old bicyclist was injured in an accident on Bear Valley Road.
The accident happened at around 7 p.m. at the 26900 block area, wherein another vehicle was involved.
Rescuers took the bicyclist to Kern Medical but was transferred to Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera. Officers said he was listed in critical condition.
Moreover, officers said the bicyclist was southbound on Jacaranda Drive and did not stop for a stop sign at Bear Valley Road.
As a result, he crashed with an eastbound vehicle on Bear Valley Road.
The authorities he was not wearing a safety helmet during the accident.
Meanwhile, the occupants of the vehicle were not injured in the crash.
