TACOMA, WA – 3 Injured in Double Semi-Truck Crash on 5 Freeway Near Highway 7

Big Rigs Crash in Tacoma Ending in Triple Injuries

 
TACOMA, WA (December 21, 2018) – Three people were injured following a double semi-truck crash Wednesday morning on the 5 North Freeway near Highway 7.
 
One semi-truck was heading north on the 5 Freeway onto the 705 Freeway when for unknown reasons, it veered off the curb and crossed over into the ramp from Highway 7 to the 705 Freeway. The truck was subsequently struck by a red semi-truck.
 
One driver was reportedly trapped in one of the big rigs and had to be extricated by firefighters. Another driver also sustained injuries. Both were taken to a nearby hospital with one of them in serious condition. A third person was treated at the scene.
