Driver Arrested in Fatal DUI Collision in Bremerton
Bremerton, WA (July 15, 2022) – On Thursday, a 42-year-old Bremerton woman lost her life in a suspected DUI accident on Oyster Bay Avenue South.
The authorities responded to the crash scene at about 9 p.m. at the 1300 block area.
When they arrived, they located the severely injured victim lying on the roadway and not breathing.
Immediately, the paramedics rushed the woman to Bremerton Fire Department medics for emergency medical care. However, the victim died while on the way to the airport.
The involved driver, a 30-year-old Bremerton woman who reportedly knew the victim stayed at the crash scene.
Officers say the investigation showed that intoxicants played a role in the incident.
Later on, the authorities arrested the 30-year-old Bremerton woman for DUI. They booked her into jail for vehicular homicide with bail set at $250,000.
