1 Arrested after Clovis Car Accident on Cedar Avenue

 
CLOVIS, CA (September 27, 2019) – Authorities arrested a suspect after a police chase ended with a crash on Cedar Avenue on September 26.
 
The high-speed chase in Clovis and Fresno ended when the suspect collided at McLane High. The chase began just before 1:00 a.m. at Shaw Avenue and Willow Avenue when Clovis officers tried to pull over a white Nissan pickup.
 
The driver fled and officers chased the truck from Shaw Avenue to the Chestnut Diagonal then onto Clinton Avenue.
 
The driver then lost control of the truck just before approaching Cedar Avenue. He struck a traffic pole and crashed through a fence at McLane High School. The suspect’s vehicle stopped in the school’s parking lot.
 
The authorities arrested the driver with several scrapes and cuts.
 
It’s still unclear why the officers tried to stop the suspect.
