1 Person Hospitalized in Carefree Pedestrian Accident on Stagecoach Pass and Tom Darlington Drive
CAREFREE, AZ (February 14, 2024) – On Tuesday, Susan Nelson sustained injuries in an alarming hit-and-run crash on Stagecoach Pass and Tom Darlington Drive.
The incident happened at around 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of Stagecoach Pass and Tom Darlington Drive.
According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, an unidentified vehicle struck a pedestrian, and then fled the scene without stopping to provide aid.
Moreover, authorities said that a Good Samaritan noticed the victim who was in the median and called 911. Then, paramedics transported the victim, identified as Nelson, to a hospital with multiple broken bones and a head injury.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office continued to investigate the crash.
