Pedestrian Hit, Killed by Several Cars in Stockton
STOCKTON, CA (February 14, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed Tuesday night after being struck by several vehicles on the northbound 5 Freeway near North Pershing Avenue.
The California Highway Patrol said the person was walking in the No. 3 lane when he or she was struck by a car around 11:30 p.m. Officials noted that that car did not stop and continued north while other vehicles ran over the victim.
The scene spanned for more than 500 feet on the northbound freeway. Authorities closed the area for two hours, but it was fully reopened by early Wednesday morning.
