71-Year-Old Man Killed in Temecula Auto Accident on Calle Contento near Madera de Playa

 
TEMECULA, CA (December 11, 2022) – Wednesday afternoon, Steven Lowe died in a head-on crash on Calle Contento near Madera de Playa.
 
The incident happened at around 2:15 p.m. on Calle Contento, north of Madera de Playa.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a southbound 2004 Chevrolet Tracker veered across the double yellow lane for still unknown reasons. Then, it went onto the northbound lanes and collided head-on with a 2015 Mercedes-Benz GL 450.
 
Moreover, responding paramedics rushed the Chevrolet driver, 71-year-old Steven Lowe of Temecula, and Merceds-Benz, a 52-year-old Temecula woman, to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, where Steven Lowe was later pronounced dead. Also, a canine passenger of the Chevy died at the scene.
 
Furthermore, the incident closed Calle Contento for almost three hours but has long since reopened.
 
Meanwhile, officers asked anyone with information about the incident to call the CHP’s Temecula office at 951-506-2004.
