Steven Foster Hurt in Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash on Highway 9 [Boulder Creek, CA]

Steven Taggert Killed in Suspected DUI Accident on highway 9

Boulder Creek, CA (July 25, 2023) On Sunday afternoon, 31-year-old Steven Foster of Boulder Creek was hurt in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 9.

CHP says that the suspected DUI accident on Highway 9, happened around 5 p.m., the crash killed 34-year-old Steven Taggert of Boulder Creek.

Reports say that Taggert was driving a southbound red 2003 Toyota Tundra, that veered off the roadway, struck a tree then ultimately ended up on its roof.

Taggert and Steven Foster sustained serious injuries and were transported to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, however, officials say that Taggert succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

CHP is investigating the fatal accident and are looking into the probable cause of the suspected DUI accident.
