HESPERIA, CA (December 16, 2023) – Thursday afternoon, a startling two-vehicle crash on Sequoia Street and Balsam Avenue injured one person.

The incident happened at around 1:00 p.m. at the intersection of Sequoia Street and Balsam Avenue.

According to sheriff’s spokeswoman Amanda Paslak, a white 2017 Chevrolet Traverse failed to yield the right of way and collided with a northbound PT cruiser. Then, the force of the crash pushed the Chevrolet out of control and collided head-on with the patrol unit.

Moreover, authorities confirmed that one person sustained minor injuries in the crash and was transported to a hospital for treatment.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
