Injuries Reported in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on 4200 College Avenue

SAN DIEGO, CA (August 28, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, a startling pedestrian crash on 4200 College Avenue injured 1 person.

The incident happened at 4:27 p.m. in the 4200 block of College Avenue, said San Diego police Officer Robert Heims.

Reports said that a 73-year-old man drove a 2007 Nissan Titan west on University Avenue. Then, he turned left onto northbound College Avenue and hit the pedestrian.

Meanwhile, responders took the 36-year-old male pedestrian to a hospital where he underwent immediate surgery for a lacerated liver.

Officers confirmed that he was expected to survive.

Also, the authorities ruled out alcohol as a factor in the crash.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
