Lanes Closed after Phoenix Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 17 and Happy Valley Road
PHOENIX, AZ (June 27, 2023) – Saturday night, a startling multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 17 and Happy Valley Road led to injuries.
The incident happened in the southbound lanes of Interstate 17 at Happy Valley Road.
According to the Department of Public Safety, the incident led crews to close the southbound lanes of the freeway for a few hours as crews worked at the scene.
Then, the road has reopened at about 10:15 p.m.
Meanwhile, DPS confirmed that the involved parties sustained non-life-threatening injuries. However, they haven’t disclosed the total number of parties involved in the crash, as well as the number of vehicles.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
