Injuries Reported in Lake Elsinore Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 15 and Railroad Canyon Road

LAKE ELSINORE, CA (May 25, 2023) – Wednesday afternoon, a startling 5-vehicle crash on Interstate 15 and Rail Canyon Road injured 1 person.

The incident happened at around 12:20 p.m. on southbound Interstate 15, just north of Railroad Canyon Road.

According to the CHP, the crash involved a Nissan Pathfinder SUV, Nissan Sentra, a Ford F-250 pickup, a Toyota Tacoma pickup, and a Toyota sedan.

The impact scattered debris in the lanes.

Meanwhile, an off-duty police officer helped victims to move their vehicles to the center median for safety.

Officers confirmed that one vehicle had major damage.

Meanwhile, the CHP officers shut down the southbound fast lane. Moreover, all other lanes stayed open.

Riverside County Fire Department crews responded within a few minutes and located one motorist with minor injuries. Meanwhile, the other parties suffered no injuries in the crash.

Then, responders took the patient to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar for treatment.

At this time, the cause of the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
