Fatal Pedestrian Accident Reported in Spring Valley
SPRING VALLEY, CA (January 18, 2019) – A Thursday night pedestrian crash in front of Monte Vista High School on Sweetwater Springs Boulevard near Loma Lane claimed a man’s life.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Tommy Doerr, the incident happened around 8:20 p.m. The victim was described as a man in his 30s who was not in a crosswalk when he was struck by the motorist.
The involved car was described as a white sedan, and its driver remained at the scene and was questioned by authorities.
CHP officers have ruled out drugs and alcohol as contributing factors in the wreck. The identity of the victim will be released once the next of kin has been notified.
