Sonny Johnson of Grand Prairie Killed in Interstate 35W Accident [Fort Worth, TX]

Fort Worth, TX (October 6, 2023) – 47-year-old Sonny Johnson of Grand Prairie was killed following an Interstate 35W accident yesterday.

The fatal traffic accident happened at around 9:20 a.m. at NE 28th Street.

Investigating officers stated that a driver ran out of gas and was waiting for a friend to bring him some on the median shoulder.

Both the driver and his friend were outside the car when a vehicle attempted to avoid hitting a big rig. However, the vehicle swerved into the shoulder and struck the two men.

Sonny Johnson was killed while the other sustained serious injuries

Officers are investigating.
