Man Dies After Multiple Semi-Trucks Collide in Snoqualmie Pass
SNOQUALMIE PASS, WA (January 8, 2019) – The life of a 67-year-old man was cut short Friday morning following a multi-vehicle crash on the 90 East Freeway near milepost 62.
Authorities believe icy conditions might have led to multiple collisions including one that happened on the eastbound side of the 90 Freeway around 5 a.m.
According to Washington State Trooper John Bryant, two trucks collided under unknown circumstances and rolled over. Both semi-trailers ended up blocking the roadway, which led several other trucks to collide. A 67-year-old man perished at the scene.
Authorities are investigating whether sleek and icy road conditions or speed played a role in the wreck.
