Six People Including Four Children Hurt in Gig Harbor Pickup Truck Accident

 
GIG HARBOR, WA (June 4, 2019) – Six people sustained injuries following a truck collision in Gig Harbor on Sunday, June 2.
 
According to Washington State Patrol troopers, a 1989 Ford F250 traveled east on Highway 302. Then it crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a Toyota Tacoma.
 
First responders transported the 37-year-old man driving the F250 and a 37-year-old female passenger to Tacoma General Hospital for further treatment.
 
Four other passengers in the F250 were also taken to Tacoma General due to the extent of their injuries.
 
The 58-year-old woman driving the Tacoma also suffered injuries as a result of the impact. Paramedics rushed her to a local hospital. Her 19-year-old and other juvenile passengers remained uninjured.
 
The crash report stated that only two of the four children in the F250 wore restraints. The driver is also currently under investigation for vehicular assault. However, troopers noted it’s not yet determined whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
 
Officers shut down the roadway for over six hours for the crash investigation.
