Female Driver Killed in 2-Vehicle Head-On Crash on Highway 99
Butte County, CA (October 1, 2023) On Saturday, CHP arrested Sierra Miguel after a fatal 2-vehicle collision on Highway 99.
According to the CHP, the deadly head-on crash happened no northbound Highway 99, north of Richvale Highway, near Toledo Road.
Reports say that Miguel was on the northbound lanes, and was attempting to pass a big rig by going onto the opposite lane, however, Miguel crashed head-on with a southbound vehicle.
The impact of the collision killed the driver of the southbound vehicle. Meanwhile, Miguel and her child passenger sustained injuries.
Medics transported Sierra Miguel</strong to the hospital, fortunately the child received minor to no injuries.
Authorities arrested Miguel on the charge of vehicle manslaughter.
Officials are investigating the 2-vehicle crash and have not released additional details about the fatal collision.
