Several Injuries Reported in DUI Crash on Maxwell Road
Maxwell, CA (October 6, 2022) On Monday afternoon, 20-year-old Sierra Jensen of Vacaville was seriously hurt after a rollover collision on Interstate 5.
The California Highway Patrol say that DUI rollover crash happened at around 5:25 p.m. south of Maxwell Road.
CHP say that Jensen was a passenger on a a white Ford truck struck by a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Kathryn Shubat of Martinez.
Authorities say that Shubat was driving at high speed when the collision happened. Meanwhile, the crash caused the Ford’s driver, 22-year-old Anthony Danielson of Vacaville, to lose control.
Consequently, the truck overturned and the impact ejected Jensen from the vehicle. Jensen suffered serious injuries.
Furthermore, Anthony, and another passenger on the Ford, 19-year-old Jason Danielson, sustained minor injuries. Paramedics transported Jensen to Enloe Medical Center in Chico for immediate treatment.
Officials say that Shubat sustained injuries due to the crash, and stayed in the scene. Afterward, officials and charged Shubat with DUI: causing death or great bodily injury.
Authorities are investigating the incident.
