SHERMAN OAKS, CA – 1 Dead in Rollover Crash on 405 Freeway Near Burbank Boulevard

1 Killed in Single-Vehicle Wreck in Sherman Oaks

 
SHERMAN OAKS, CA (January 2, 2018) – One person was killed New Year’s Eve after a vehicle overturned and landed in a ditch off the 405 Freeway near Burbank Boulevard.
 
Around 4:30 a.m., a car reportedly rolled over and landed in a ditch on the side of the 405 Freeway. The No. 3 and 4 lanes of the freeway were shut down due to the investigation.
 
The solo-car accident left one person dead at the scene. His identity was not released but he was described as a 25-year-old male, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Peter Nicholson. A second person was hospitalized in an unknown condition.
 
The details regarding whether impairment or speed played a role in the crash are still under investigation.
