2 Hurt in Lakeside Car Crash on Highway 67
LAKESIDE, CA (November 11, 2019) – Two people complained of pain after a crash on Highway 67 on November 7.
According to reports, a vehicle struck a sheriff’s deputy’s vehicle. While the deputies looked for a suspected hit-and-run vehicle that happened on Highway 67 and Riverford Drive, a deputy at Mapleview Street and Highway 67 noticed an eastbound vehicle.
The said car matched the description of the suspect vehicle, Sgt. Claudia Delgado of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department revealed.
The deputy activated the patrol vehicle’s lights and siren and drove through the intersection to catch up to the suspect vehicle. However, a southbound vehicle on Highway 67 collided with the deputy’s cruiser, Delgado added.
Responders evaluated the two drivers for minor complaints of pain.
The authorities are still searching for the hit-and-run vehicle.
