SHAFTER, CA – Woman Killed in Rollover Crash at West Lerdo Highway and Leonard Avenue

Fatal Rollover Crash on West Lerdo Highway in Shafter

 
SHAFTER, CA (December 21, 2018) – A 25-year-old woman was killed following a rollover crash Friday evening in Shafter, CHP officials said.
 
The fatal crash happened around 8:09 p.m. at the intersection of West Lerdo Highway and Leonard Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the woman was heading eastbound on Highway 58 when the car she was driving rolled over and landed on its roof.
 
The woman, who was the sole occupant of the car, was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not yet been released pending notification of her family members.
 
It is unknown if speed, drugs and/or alcohol were contributing factors of the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
