Bus and Vehicle Crash in San Bernardino Ending in Injury
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (May 9, 2019) – Several people were injured Wednesday after a bus and a vehicle crashed on West Base Line Street near North Sierra Way.
According to the San Bernardino County Fire Department, the incident happened at 5:30 p.m.
It appears an OmniTrans bus headed east on Baseline Street collided with a westbound vehicle that veered into its lane.
Fire Personnel arrived soon after and extricated one person from the vehicle. In addition, six people inside the bus suffered minor injuries.
Sherwin confirmed that the critically injured patient sought treatment at Loma Linda University Medical Center while paramedics brought the others to local hospitals.
It’s unclear at this point what caused the vehicle to travel into the opposing lane of traffic, but an ongoing investigation is underway.
