Man on Bike Struck and Killed by Car Near Golden Gardens Park
SEATTLE, WA (January 14, 2018) – A bike rider was killed in a car accident early Sunday morning around 4:30 AM, along the 7000 block of Seaview Avenue, parallel to the Burke Gilman Trail.
Reports state that Seattle Fire responded to the scene of the accident near Shilshole Bay Marina. Despite resuscitation efforts by rescue team members, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers evaluated the driver for signs of impairment, but none were detected. The man was interviewed and released.
Investigation is ongoing on the cause of the crash, whether or not the bike rider was wearing a helmet, and other important facts. No further details or identities of the people involved in the fatal incident have been announced to the public.
