4 Hospitalized in Santa Clarita DUI Crash
SANTA CLARITA, CA (January 24, 2019) – Four people were hospitalized, including a DUI driver, early Monday when two vehicles collided on Sierra Highway near Penman Road.
The crash took place around 4:30 a.m., shutting down the highway for a couple hours due to investigations.
A man was arrested in the crash after showing signs of intoxication. He along with three others were injured and sent to a nearby hospital for treatment.
According to reports, the alleged intoxicated driver had with him another passenger in the car when their vehicle crashed into another vehicle with only one occupant. The victim in the second vehicle was also hospitalized.
A Sigalert was issued for the northbound and southbound lanes of the highway around 5 a.m.
