Driver Dies in San Luis Obispo Collision
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (December 5, 2018) – A teen motorist was killed Monday afternoon after colliding with a eucalyptus tree on Highway 1 near Stenner Creek Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver was headed southbound in the fast lane when he veered to the right and struck a large eucalyptus tree. He was the only person in the car according to reports and died on impact.
Traffic was backed up as of 4:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes. CHP is investigating the collision to determine what had happened.
