1 Dead in National City Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 805 and Division Street

 
NATIONAL CITY, CA (February 8, 2022) – Monday morning, a San Diego man died in an auto accident on Interstate 805 and Division Street.
 
The incident happened just after 2:00 a.m. on Interstate 805 and Division Street. According to reports, the 28-year-old San Diego man headed south on Interstate 805. However, his Honda Civic crashed with a Hyundai Elantra. Then, his vehicle went off the road, north of Division Street and fell down an embankment.
 
As a result, the Honda driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene. His identity remains undisclosed due to pending family notification.
 
Meanwhile, the other driver, a 21-year-old Chula Vista man sustained no injuries, CHP public affairs Officer Salvador Castro said.
