Pedestrian Hospitalized in San Diego Hit-and-Run Crash
SAN DIEGO, CA (January 31, 2019) – A pedestrian was hospitalized with serious injuries Wednesday when he was hit by a hit-and-run driver on Market Street near 25th Street.
The victim was described as a 70-year-old man who had gotten off a bus and began crossing Market Street. A driver in a cream-colored older model sedan struck the man as he was crossing near the intersection just before 6 a.m. The driver failed to stop and fled the scene shortly after.
The unidentified victim suffered major injuries to his head and two broken legs and a broken arm. He is recovering at UC San Diego Medical Center, according to the San Diego Police Department.
Witnesses who have insight into this crash are asked to call the authorities.
