Scooter Rider Severely Injured Following DUI Crash in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 11, 2018) – A 29-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries early Monday following a DUI collision on Garnet Avenue near Everts Street.
According to the San Diego Police, the man had been drinking before crashing the rented Lime scooter into a building in Pacific Beach.
The collision was reported around 2:20 a.m. on the south sidewalk of Garnet Avenue. Police believe the man was riding eastbound when he veered to the right and struck the building. He was reportedly not wearing a helmet and suffered severe head injuries.
An investigation of this crash is underway.
