Woman Hospitalized in San Diego Hit-and-Run Crash
SAN DIEGO, CA (January 9, 2019) – A 40-year-old woman biking across West Mission Bay Drive near Ingraham Street Tuesday night was struck and injured by a hit-and-run driver.
The crash happened around 8:05 p.m. in the 1400 block of West Mission Bay Drive. The 40-year-old woman was crossing West Mission Bay Drive from north to south when an eastbound motorist struck her.
The victim was hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The vehicle, however, fled the scene and was only described as a gold or tan colored sedan.
Authorities are asking the people’s help in determining the vehicle and driver’s whereabouts.
Watch out for others on the road and when riding a bicycle or crossing the street, never assume others will stop for you. Accidents happen when we are least aware of it.
