SAN CLEMENTE, CA – One Hospitalized in 2-Vehicle Crash on 5 Freeway at Camino De Estrella

Pickup Truck and Sedan Collide on 5 Freeway in San Clemente

 
SAN CLEMENTE, CA (February 14, 2019) – One person was hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision Thursday morning in San Clemente.
 
The collision happened around 7:07 a.m. on southbound 5 Freeway at Camino de Estrella.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Toyota Tacoma and a silver Kia Forte collided on the right shoulder of the freeway. Injuries were sustained in the crash and paramedics were dispatched to the scene to give aid.
 
A woman who reportedly hit her head and has pre-existing medical condition was taken by ambulance to Mission Hospital for further evaluation.
 
The Kia sedan sustained a front-end damage and was towed away from the crash site.
 
An ongoing investigation continues to determine the ultimate cause of the accident and liability.
