Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Car in Sacramento

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (January 30, 2019) – A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning on Elk Grove Florin Road near Gerber Road.
 
California Highway Patrol and the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the fatal pedestrian crash. It is unclear what led up to the collision, as details remain scarce, but a follow-up investigation is being handled.
 
The pedestrian was reportedly struck by a truck around 6 a.m. and the driver remained at the scene.
 
The identity of the fatal victim will be released once the next of kin has been notified.
