SACRAMENTO, CA – 1 Killed, 1 Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 99 at 47th Avenue

Early Morning 2-Vehicle Wreck on Highway 99 in Sacramento Ends in Fatality

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (December 30, 2018) – One person was killed and another one was injured following a two-vehicle collision early Sunday morning in Sacramento.
 
The fatal collision happened around 2:23 a.m. on southbound Highway 99 at 47th Avenue.
 
According to the Sacramento Fire Department, one of the vehicles, a black sedan, overturned due to severe impact. The other involved vehicle was not described.
 
First responders arrived at the scene and extracted one person from a vehicle and took them to a local hospital.
 
Another person from the same vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. A coroner was immediately notified to pick up the victim’s remains and conduct a full report.
 
Both vehicles were towed away for evidence.
