NAPA COUNTY, CA (January 30, 2023) – Saturday night, authorities arrested Ryan William Cowper after a deadly crash on Highway 29 and Big Tree Road.

The fatal accident happened at around 11:30 p.m. on southbound Highway 29 south of Big Tree Road.

According to reports, 26-year-old Ryan William Cowper drove a Toyota pickup truck with his passenger in the right front seat. Then, his vehicle went off the road and crashed into a tree north of St. Helena.

As a result, the male passenger from Fallbrook sustained fatal injuries. At this time, his identity remained undisclosed due to pending family notification.

Meanwhile, Cowper received treatment for minor injuries at Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center.
