Wrong-Way Driver Dies in Uptown County Collision
Upton County, TX (November 28, 2024) – Ruben Rodriguez, 60, was injured in a Highway 349 deadly crash Tuesday afternoon.
It was around 1 p.m. when a 2020 Nissan Altima driven by Joel Garza, 28, traveling north in the outer southbound lane.
At the same time, a 2020 Western Star truck with a trailer driven by Ruben Rodriguez, was traveling south in the inner lane of the same road.
As a result, Garza collided with Rodriguez and he was killed at the scene.
Ruben Rodriguez, on the other hand, was taken to Rankin Hospital with minor injuries.
Investigators said both drivers were wearing a seatbelt during the collision.
