Romeo Marquez Dies in Semi-Truck Collision on Fairway Drive Near Deseo Avenue
CAMARILLO, CA (July 12, 2019) – A semi-truck driver died when his tractor-trailer overturned off Fairway Drive near Deseo Drive Thursday.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident happened around 7:50 p.m. A 2012 Peterbilt truck driven by 31-year-old Romeo Marquez lost control for unknown reasons after traveling northbound on Fairway Drive.
As a result, the big rig overturned and rolled down an embankment into a nearby golf course. Paramedics arrived shortly after and pronounced the Panorama City man dead at the scene.
