2 Dead in Susanville Auto Accident on Highway 32
SUSANVILLE, CA (November 11, 2021) – Tuesday afternoon, Robert Ramirez and Joaquin Hendrickson suffered injuries in a deadly crash on Highway 32.
The incident occurred at around 2:29 p.m. when a Ford F150 headed west on Highway 32. Meanwhile, a Ram 3500 drove east on Highway 32 at 45-50 mph.
At this time, the authorities haven’t identified the occupants of the Ford F150. However, they identified the Ram driver as 24-year-old Robert Ramirez of Woodland.
Eventually, the Ford F150 drove across the centerline into the path of the Ram. As a result, the two vehicles crashed head-on. The impact caused the Ford to spin out of control to the south side of the roadway. Then, it rolled down an embankment before catching fire.
Some concerned passersby tried to help the occupants out of the vehicle.
However, both occupants of the Ford F150 succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, the Ram stopped in the roadway and blocked both lanes.
Robert Ramirez and 23-year-old passenger Joaquin Hendrickson both suffered moderate to major injuries. Responders took them to Enloe Medical Center in Chico.
The authorities continue to investigate the crash. Moreover, the authorities urged anyone with information about the incident to call Officer B. Lingenfelter at the Susanville Area CHP office (530-252-1800).
Sweet Lawyers extends our condolences to the family and community of the victims.
