Driver Dies in Riverside Collision With Tractor-Trailer
RIVERSIDE, CA (February 6, 2019) – A woman was killed, and two children were hospitalized Monday in a collision with a tractor-trailer at Lincoln Avenue and Jefferson Street.
Witnesses stopped at the scene to help pull two children from a wrecked pickup truck. The crash happened Monday night when a 28-year-old woman driving a Toyota Tundra blew through a stop sign at Lincoln Avenue and Jefferson Street and plowed into the side of a large tractor-trailer.
The children were listed in moderate condition and were brought to a nearby hospital for treatment. The woman, however, was killed in the crash and the driver of the tractor-trailer was injured.
The Riverside Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the ultimate cause and is asking witnesses to call the Riverside Police Department at 951-826-8724 if they know anything about this crash.
