Grant County DUI Crash Kills Rigoberto Marmolejo-Garcia, Officers Arrest Christopher Crisostomo
Grant County, WA (August 15, 2021) – On August 11, 31-year-old Rigoberto Marmolejo-Garcia of Royal City, died, while police arrested 37-year-old Christopher Crisostomo, in a semi-truck crash on Adams Road.
The fatal crash took place at about 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Officers said Crisostomo was northbound in a semi-truck on Adams Road. Crisostomo was approaching State Route 283 when he failed to stop at the stop sign.
At the same time, a car driven by Marmolejo-Garcia was southwest on State Route 283.
Crisostomo hit Marmolejo-Garcia’s vehicle on the driver’s side.
Crisostomo’s and Marmolejo-Garcia’s vehicles rested off the southwest corner of the intersection.
Unfortunately, Marmolejo-Garcia and his passenger, a 52-year-old Moses Lake Man, were both killed at the scene.
The authorities are working to notify the passenger’s family.
Meanwhile, officers arrested Crisostomo. He is facing two counts of suspicion of vehicular homicide.
Similarly, an accident crash report states drugs or alcohol were involved in the fatal crash.
