Rider Killed in Highway 33 Motorcycle Collision [Ventura County, CA]

Traffic Collision in Ojai Results in Fatality

Ventura County, CA (May 28, 2023) – On Saturday, a 77-year-old male rider from Santa Barbara lost his life in a Highway 33 motorcycle collision.

The fatal collision happened before 1:15 p.m. near Meiners Road.

According to the investigating officers, the rider was riding on a 2004 MV Agusta sport bike northbound on the highway. At the same time, a 2013 BMW passenger vehicle driven by a 50-year-old Ojai woman was westbound on Meiners Road.

The BMW driver entered the intersection as the motorcyclist was riding by. As a result, the two vehicles collided.

Immediately, the paramedics rushed the rider to Ventura County Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. 

The BMW driver and her 13-year-old passenger did not incur injuries from the collision. 

In the meantime, the authorities are investigating the traffic collision in Ojai.
