Motorcyclist Injured in Hesperia Accident
HESPERIA, CA (April 4, 2019) – A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in Tuesday’s collision on Cottonwood Avenue near Juniper Street.
The accident happened around 1:02 p.m. According to reports, a 2011 Harley Davidson motorcycle and a 2012 Kenworth Salvation Army truck collided on Cottonwood Avenue.
For unknown reasons, as the northbound Kenworth truck attempted a left-hand turn, the northbound motorcyclist struck the batter box of the truck while attempting to pass the truck on its left side.
Soon after, San Bernardino County firefighters arrived. Officials requested a helicopter to airlift the 43-year-old conscious and alert victim to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
At this time, investigators are looking deeper into the case to verify the ultimate cause.
