Motorcyclist Hurt in Shandon Crash
SHANDON, CA (July 31, 2019) – A motorcyclist suffered minor injuries Tuesday in a motorcycle accident on Highway 41, near Highway 46.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash took place around 9:15 a.m. CHP officers say the motorcycle caught on fire and the rider suffered minor injuries as a result.
Due to the accident, crews also closed off the road until 10:25 a.m.; however, both south and northbound lanes snarled immense traffic shortly thereafter.
It’s currently unclear what drove the accident at this time. However, authorities are still looking further into the circumstances.
Furthermore, the identity of the rider has not yet been released at this time. There has been no update on their current condition.
The higher the rate of speed you’re traveling, the higher your risk is of getting into a major-injury collision. Devastating car accidents happen frequently in California, which is why it’s important to always practice safe and defensive driving.
