Ricardo Torres Fatally Struck by Motorist on West Anaheim Street Near Del Rey Court

 
LONG BEACH, CA (March 14, 2019) – A 63-year-old man died Friday following a pedestrian accident on West Anaheim Street near Del Rey Court.
 
A preliminary investigation revealed that Ricardo Torres, of Long Beach, died on March 8 after being hit by a westbound burgundy 2003-2009 Toyota Sienna. Around 6:26 p.m. March 6, the 63-year-old man had been crossing northbound outside of a crosswalk when the incident occurred.
 
Paramedics arrived to find the victim unresponsive and transported him to a local hospital before his death. Due to the scarcity of information, authorities are investigating the whereabouts of the driver.
