Rhodessa Ruffin Dies in Highway 52 Motorcycle Crash Near Santo Road
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 5, 2019) – An El Cajon woman lost her life early Sunday in a motorcycle crash on Highway 52 near Santo Road.
According to the medical examiner’s office, 57-year-old Rhodessa Ruffin died of multiple blunt-force injuries. Reports say the El Cajon woman was riding westbound on Highway 52 when a driver struck her from behind under unknown circumstances.
As a result, she flew off her motorcycle before a second vehicle struck her around 5:15 a.m.
The medical examiner’s office says Ruffin died almost immediately.
News reports did not include any information concerning the drivers. California Highway Patrol has yet to release further information since an investigation of the cause and details are underway.
